Matso’s Sunshine Coast Brewery

The restoration of an existing 1920’s pub as well as a new brewery, bar, restaurant, and landscape. The new works, built from a mixture of new and salvaged demolition material from the site, reference the scale and form of the existing pub while also providing a new connection between the street-front and back garden. Project completed whilst at Knight Wilson.

Tweed Heads Warehouse
Yugambeh Language Region / Tweed Heads, New South Wales
An office and warehouse fit out built almost entirely from local reclaimed materials. New works were constructed from pine stud seconds, recycled hardwood, deadstock plywood, Laminex packing sheets, recycled fire pipe, and factory offcuts of Ampelite. Curtains were made from Full Circle Fibres cotton. Uptex acoustic sheets made by Upparel from compressed textile waste.

A new home for a young family of four, referencing the existing brick and fibro architecture of the neighbourhood. The scheme is designed to maximise the small suburban site, orienting living spaces to the north-facing lawn and garden, helping to create a private, sunny courtyard visible from almost every room in the house.
